La Grand’ Métairie mini-farm
Your children will particularly appreciate our mini-farm located on the grounds of one of Vendée’s nature campsites. The mini-farm is deliberately placed away from the pitches to ensure peace and quiet for everyone: holidaymakers and animals alike! Your children will be able to stroke the animals at any time and watch them grow, eat and move around.
In our mini-farm on the campsite, you’ll have the opportunity to see goats, a pony, peacocks, chickens, etc. The animals are kept in secure enclosures, away from the campsite pitches, so that all our guests can approach them in complete safety.
During their vacation at one of our campsites offering a “nature” area with a wide range of activities focusing on respect for the environment, animals, etc., your children aged 6 to 12 will have a great time feeding the animals at the mini-farm, accompanied by our kids’ club leaders and animal care staff.
Depending on the season, your little ones can also enjoygardening workshops in the kitchen garden during their stay at La Grand’ Métairie farm campsite with swimming pool. At the 4-star La Grand’ Métairie campsite in Vendée, you can share tender moments with the animals of the mini-farm while enjoying the Vendée coast, renowned for its nearby seaside resorts within easy reach by car (Jard sur Mer, Les Sables-d’Olonne, La Tranche sur Mer…) and its fine sandy beaches (Longeville sur Mer, 6 km from the campsite).
Back at the Paradis La Grand’ Métairie campsite, you can extend your swimming pleasures in our aquatic area. Our campsite with swimming pool in the Vendée has two heated pools (one of which is indoor) and a paddling pool for toddlers, complete with children’s games.
Swimming, water polo, muscle toning or simply relaxing before a bike ride or after a day of sightseeing: our aquatic area and pools are sure to delight. Younger guests can have fun with the children’s playground and go down the small slide in the middle of the paddling pool.

Our campsite rentals near the farm
The 4-star La Grand’ Metairie campsite in the Vendée offers camping pitches for tents and caravans on attractive grounds in the countryside. You can park your car on the pitch next to your caravan and have access to the shared sanitary block with toilet and bathroom.
All 4-star services are available to campers. To make your vacation easier, electricity is available on every pitch for caravans and camper vans if you wish.
