Mobile homes for rent for 2 to 6 people in Saint-Hilaire-la-Forêt
From the 23 m² Comfort Mobile Home with 2 bedrooms—ideal for a small family—to the 34 m² Premium Mobile Home with 3 bedrooms, which easily accommodates large families and groups of friends, the rental options at our family-friendly campground in the Vendée include three types of mobile homes to suit every budget. In between, the 32 m² Comfort 3-bedroom mobile home accommodates up to 6 people, featuring the same covered patio and the same patio furniture.
Rooms with 140-cm double beds or 80-cm single beds, with pillows and comforters provided: take the time to choose the rental that best meets your family’s needs. Comfortable and fully equipped, our mobile homes in the Vendée let you enjoy your vacation in peace, and are arranged so that everyone can enjoy the view of our grounds rather than the neighbor’s patio. If you’re visiting in July or August, be sure to check the “air conditioning” option—it often makes all the difference in the quality of your sleep.
All of our accommodations are located in themed neighborhoods that we’ve created ourselves. This rustic style has deep roots: the campground began as an old farmhouse in Saint-Hilaire-la-Forêt, which Bénédicte and Denis took over. You’ll have the pleasure of staying in the “Winegrowers’ Quarter,” not far from your friends, who will be right at home in the “Livestock Farmers’ Quarter,” located next to the bar-restaurant. Few campsites in the Vendée take this theme quite so far!
We took over La Grand’ Métairie in 2009. The campground began as a former farmhouse, and that’s where the inspiration for our themed areas comes from: the Winegrowers’ Quarter and the Livestock Farmers’ Quarter. In addition, we equip our accommodations according to the seasons, and air conditioning is part of that. For over fifteen years, many vacationers have been returning season after season.
Do you have any preferences, or have you already stayed at La Grand’ Métairie and know which rental to choose for your next stay? Would you simply like to let us know what you’re looking for in a mobile home rental in the Vendée—such as proximity to the pool, the playground, or the petting zoo? Our staff will do their best to accommodate your requests and help you choose your spot on the campground map.
“More and more families are choosing their own spots on the map, and that’s great! If you’re not sure, give us a call: we know every rental unit, how much shade it gets in the afternoon, and how far it is from the mini-farm! If you have young children, we recommend staying close to the mini-farm for the 10 a.m. activity. And for stays during peak season, ask us for an air-conditioned mobile home: between the shade of the trees and the AC, you’ll sleep soundly, even during the hottest days. And come as early as April if you can: the indoor pool is heated to 29°C right from opening day, and the campground is still very quiet.”
Book your vacation rental in the Vendée well in advance to ensure you can enjoy your favorite spot at the time that works best for you at Camping Paradis La Grand’ Métairie. School breaks and the long weekends in May are the first to fill up, as are the air-conditioned units, so you’ll be able to choose your mobile home without any restrictions.
Check out our rates and special offers on our vacation rentals to find the best deal on your stay, just a stone’s throw from the Vendée coast and the Atlantic Ocean. Prices vary depending on the property category, the time of year, and the length of stay: for the same budget, a spring stay often allows you to rent a larger property.
Fully equipped mobile homes on the Vendée coast
Pillows and comforters are provided in all the bedrooms of our rental properties, and sheets are included in the Premium category. Each unit has its own bathroom with a sink and shower, as well as a separate toilet.
You’ll have complete freedom to prepare your meals in your fully equipped kitchen, which includes a sink, a 4-burner gas stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, and dishes for 2 to 6 people. The bread and pastries counter at the front desk, open every morning starting at 8 a.m., rounds out the campground’s services: you can pick up your bread before the kids even wake up.
In our Premium model, a TV, dishwasher, freezer, air conditioning, toaster, electric kettle, 2 folding chairs, and Wi-Fi are also provided. All our rental units feature a covered or semi-covered patio with patio furniture and a clothesline: this is where the best moments of your vacation happen, from breakfast on the patio to long summer evenings after the activities have ended.
Air conditioning isn’t just for high-end accommodations: when it comes to mobile homes, it’s available in the 3-bedroom Premium and the 2-bedroom Comfort models. As for our wooden rentals, you’ll find it throughout the Premium line and in the 2-Bedroom Signature Cottage. Air-conditioned accommodations mean the comfort of a cool nap after a swim and peaceful nights when the temperature doesn’t drop.
What are you waiting for? Book your mobile home rental in the Vendée at La Grand’ Métairie today! Our guests give it a 4.3/5 rating based on 1,344 Google reviews, citing first and foremost the peaceful setting, the space between the units, and the helpfulness of our staff. These are simple things, but they’re what keep our guests coming back!
Would you prefer to rent unique accommodations in the Vendée for your stay at one of the highest-rated 4-star campgrounds on the Atlantic coast of France?
This exclusive offering at Camping Paradis La Grand’ Métairie will give you the chance to experience something truly special—spending unforgettable nights under the stars in the heart of nature.
As part of our unique lineup, we offer our 22 m² Lodge Tents—with 2 bedrooms and sleeping 4 people—which combine traditional camping with comfort for a one-of-a-kind stay. Do you like wooden accommodations?
Be sure to check out our cottages in the Vendée and their covered patios nestled amid lush greenery. Our Signature cottages were eco-designed by the campground team: old structures clad in wood, repainted, and furnished with vintage finds—even old teapots transformed into ceiling lights! Wood is everywhere—from the siding to the furniture—and the 2-bedroom Signature Cottage is air-conditioned, just like the cottages in the Premium line.
Finally, even the most discerning guests will find what they’re looking for with our 34 campsites in the Vendée, ranging from 80 to 100 m², suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs, with a minimum stay of just one night—compared to two nights for our rental accommodations.

Ideally placed mobile homes
What better way to get a head start on that Atlantic Coast vacation vibe than by booking your mobile home rental in the Vendée at a campground with a pool and water park?
6 km from the beach, about 30 minutes from Les Sables-d’Olonne, and just a few kilometers from Jard-sur-Mer, Longeville-sur-Mer, and La Tranche-sur-Mer, a fully equipped mobile home in Saint-Hilaire-la-Forêt, offering a lush, green setting in the Pays de la Loire region, nestled between the countryside and the ocean, for your vacation with family or friends. La Tranche and its family-friendly beaches, Longeville and its surf spot: each beach has its own unique character.
You can count on the 4-star La Grand’ Métairie campground to offer these additional amenities: the water park features a heated outdoor pool open from early June, a wading pool with water play features, a waterfall, and a counter-current river to delight the little ones. And if it rains, you can enjoy the indoor pool heated to 29°C, open starting in early April, with its own wading pool: this is what sets our campground apart from many others along the coast, where the swimming season doesn’t start until June. A heated indoor pool in the spring, an air-conditioned mobile home in the height of summer: here, the weather doesn’t dictate your vacation.
A wide range of activities is offered for the whole family from April through September, with 3 to 4 activity leaders depending on the time of year, and all activities are included in the stay at no additional cost. Children ages 6 to 12 can join the Piki Club during school breaks and long weekends; this club offers them sports activities, the playground, the multisport field, the bocce court, and the game room. Activities for adults aren’t forgotten either, ranging from aqua aerobics to tournaments. And the whole family meets at 10 a.m. every morning to feed the animals at the petting zoo: goats, kids, Chipie the pony, a peacock, hens, roosters, turkeys, and rabbits. In the evening, La Guinguette takes over with its pizzas, homemade burgers, mussels and fries, and themed nights: these events are the highlight of the day and one of the services most frequently mentioned by our regulars.
Check out our selection of mobile homes and cottages with 1 to 3 bedrooms, accommodating 2 to 6 people—some with air conditioning—at one of the most peaceful campgrounds in the Vendée. Once you’ve booked your vacation, the wait will seem shorter as you look forward to sharing the joys of camping in the French countryside—right by the Atlantic—with your loved ones!
