The Jard-sur-Mer market is well known in the Vendée for the number of its stallholders – nearly 200 in summer!

Fill up on good regional and seasonal produce in a friendly atmosphere.

We recommend arriving before 9 a.m. every Monday, as the market is very busy.

The Conchette mill

Go for a walk near the late ⅪⅩ century Conchette mill, overlooking the marina.

Legend has it that a young miller took the place of a son from a good family to go off to war. In exchange, the mill was built, and the young miller became its owner on his return.

You can’t visit the mill, but it’s a very pleasant place to be.
