The Tour Mélusine : the 12th-century circular keep. Climb to the top of this 36-metre edifice for a 360-degree panorama of the village, its river and the surrounding forest.
Notre-Dame Church : a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture, listed as a Monument Historique. The north portal and its sculpted bestiary are unique. Its Théodelin nave now hosts art exhibitions, showcasing local heritage.
The public wash-house: dating from the 19th century, even though it’s no longer in use, you can still admire its cast-iron tub and chimney.
Be careful! The village is cobbled: bring good shoes to walk around the ramparts, and note that it won’t be easy to get around with a baby carriage.
